Coffee Party Visual Identity Design

Project Overview I was commissioned to design the visual identity for Coffee Party, a paid community event hosted by iGo Church and reinhard.ca. The goal was to create an inviting and modern look that would attract not only church members but also newcomers interested in connecting over coffee and exploring conversations about the gospel. Creative Approach To break away from typical church event visuals, I chose a bold, colorful, and 90s-inspired style featuring playful sticker graphics and strong typography. Instead of coffee cup stock photos, I created a vibrant poster that feels more like a social or cultural event — helping the design stand out in both digital and physical spaces. My Design Process I began by identifying the target audience — younger, curious, and open-minded individuals — and aimed to design something that speaks their language visually. After crafting the main poster, I adapted it for multiple formats to maximize visibility: • Print poster for church and local promotion • Instagram post & story • Facebook post • Digital screen formats for display within church facilities Impact The event has already received strong interest and several bookings. The design helped shift the tone from “just another church event” to something fresh and inclusive, opening the door to meaningful conversations and community building.
