Video Editing & Thumbnail design for social media

Here is a youtube video project where the subject is drone videography. I have previously worked with this client and already have info about brand colours and other information.

It's difficult to make a YouTube video that the viewers will find engaging. To add aspects of surprise for the spectator to keep their interest, we need look beyond the box. With the help of several graphic components and high-quality b-roll, this was accomplished in the video.

The audio in the raw tape had a lot of background noise that needed considerable adjustment, which was a big problem. The client was pleased with the results after I cleaned up the audio using tools in Premiere Pro.

Goals/Requirements:

The primary goal was to trim the video and create a finished product that was ready for YouTube upload that included the following elements:

B-roll that incorporates transitions to provide interest.

Animations in text.

Graphic components like exploding images and lower thirds, etc.

To make everything work together, use colour grading and colour correction.

I first cleaned up the audio before starting the cutting process to correct any potential grammatical mistakes. The footage was subjected to numerous jump cuts during this procedure, which makes the final YouTube video look unprofessional. Here is what I did to resolve this problem:

Jump cuts can be hidden with zoom-ins.

B-rolls and transitions were added.

It normally takes me three passes to add the text and motion graphics (lower thirds or other such elements).

The finished video was then given a colour grading and exported in high definition (4K), suitable for Youtube upload.

This project really put my audio editing abilities to the test and improve my knowledge of how to use assets (not to overuse them).

The client was pleased with the outcomes, and I am appreciative that I was able to use my editing abilities to produce results of such a high calibre.
