A self-initiated concept exploring how far you can push flat-pack furniture without sacrificing visual quality. The goal: a stool that ships flat, assembles without tools, and looks like it belongs in a design store.
The stool celebrates the natural beauty of wood while using an intelligent interlocking construction that minimizes hardware. Every component has a clear structural purpose, making the product easy to manufacture, transport, and assemble.
The contrast between the light seat and dark base emphasizes the separation between the functional seating surface and the structural support. Rounded edges soften the appearance, making the stool suitable for contemporary homes, cafés, studios, and workspaces.
Design Solution
Interlocking wood joinery, no tools or fasteners required
Two-tone material palette (light seat, dark base)
Flat-pack ready for efficient shipping and storage
Rounded edges for a softer, approachable form
Lightweight yet structurally sound
