Jessica, a pastry chef, wanted to expand her brand into a grab-and-go and sweet-treat kiosk called Short and Sweet which was designed for anyone craving a quick pick-me-up. She aimed to capture the essence of indulgence through a visually compelling identity and a strong digital presence, positioning herself as the top choice for those seeking a delightful treat after a long, stressful day.
In terms of timeline, client had the launch date as May 5th, 2025 and so our milestones were based on prioritising the deliverables.
Goals
Brand Strategy & Visual Identity: Develop a new, unified brand identity from scratch featuring an engaging logo that oozes feminine, timeline and nostalgic feels, a carefully whipped color palette, and an all-encompassing visual framework.
Market Leadership: Position Short and Sweet as the go-to pick me up sweet treat in the chosen location and creating a strong brand recognition and surpass competitors in sales through target audience selected backed by data from mother brand.
Physical & Digital Engagement: Creating and sustaining an engaged online community through various marketing efforts, fostering brand loyalty to expand customer base through promotional or stationary material.

Moodboard direction after discussing competition and admiration pieces of client
Outlined view of the main logo
Full logo design suite with explanation on execution of how the brand words of timeless, nostalgic and feminine were utilised to create it
Mockup created to see how the logo can be utilised on cafe with it being on the counter and on top along with the dessert boxes

Results and Impact
Launch that resulted in long queues for the delicious treat which were results of the location and backed by data of mother brand's metrics that allowed for a great insight on target audience behaviours
Positive internal and external feedback from stakeholders and customers
A launch promotion offering free cupcakes in exchange for customers snapping photos with the giant wall sticker and sharing them on social media.
This project shows how blending foresight, great execution, and creative collaboration can transform a static experience into an authentic, high-performing expression of the Short & Sweet brand.
