Auto Invoice Extractor & Processor

Built an Auto Invoice Extractor & Processor in n8n to automate the complete workflow of collecting invoices, extracting structured financial data, organizing records, and notifying relevant users without manual document processing.

The automation monitors Google Drive for new invoice files and automatically downloads each document for processing. An AI-powered information extraction step analyzes the invoice and converts unstructured document content into structured data such as supplier details, invoice numbers, dates, amounts, and other required fields.

Once extracted, the information is automatically added to Google Sheets, creating an organized database that can be used for accounting, reporting, reconciliation, or further business automation. The workflow can then generate and send an email notification through Gmail, ensuring that processed invoice information reaches the appropriate person or team.

The system was designed as a modular workflow, allowing extraction fields, processing rules, storage destinations, notifications, and connected services to be customized for different business requirements.
