EXHIBITION POSTER

I was commissioned to create a poster for the art exhibition Cabinet of Dreams, which took place in Florence, Italy 2022. The exhibition was based on re-imagining historical Wunderkammer objects into new ideas.

I wanted to create a poster that was in line with the theme of the exhibition, that also took the featured artists into account with their various visual languages.

My work included the research and understanding of Wunderkammer, Cabinet of Curiosities, a “must have” in the Northern European courts between the Sixteenth and Eighteenth centuries. The tradition of collecting objects with a mystic significance developed throughout the late Renaissance and Enlightenment. Based on my research I was able to create a motif that symbolized the historical significance of Wunderkammer, as well as integrating the theme of the exhibition and its innovative approach.
