Objective:

The goal of this project was to create a small-scale 3D printable model of a giant real-size Popsicle inflatable slide. This model was commissioned for demonstration purposes, allowing the client to showcase the design in a compact form.

Process:

The project began with converting the slide's surfaces into solids, ensuring that each part maintained its intended shape, thickness and color differentiation. I utilized Rhino 3D production-grade surface model, which was then refined into a solid 3D model in Fusion 360, divided into three distinct colors for printing.

Challenges:

A significant challenge arose with the top popsicle parts, which did not convert seamlessly into solids. To address this, I employed Blender to modify these components, adding an additional 8 hours of work. This was in contrast to the rest of the model, which was prepared for printing within the same timeframe.

Outcome:

The final result is a CAD solid model, ready for 3D printing in three colors. While I am still awaiting feedback from the client, the model stands as a testament to my ability to overcome design challenges and deliver a high-quality product.
