Development of Stocketa Mobile Platform

Stocketa is a beautifully designed mobile-first platform that helps users monitor their stocks and cryptocurrency with clarity and simplicity. The application focuses on delivering an elegant investment-tracking experience with real-time charts, customizable views, transaction logging, and automated portfolio insights. With a highly polished UI and smooth animations, Stocketa makes it effortless for users to keep an eye on their holdings, track performance, and stay informed about market changes.

As a Full Stack / Mobile Engineer on the Stocketa project, I contributed to the end-to-end development of the application, emphasizing clean UI design, performance optimization, and intuitive financial data presentation.

Built a fully responsive and visually refined interface using React Native / Expo, ensuring a native-quality experience across iOS devices.

Developed modular components for stock cards, crypto charts, performance summaries, and transaction lists.

Implemented real-time chart rendering (1D, 1W, 1M, 6M, 1Y, 5Y) with smooth transitions and color-coded gain/loss indicators.

Created interactive UI flows for:

Viewing holdings

Managing stock splits

Displaying portfolio gain/loss

Customizing card layouts and stats

Added support for iOS 16 homescreen widgets, allowing users to monitor their assets directly from their device.

Designed and implemented a secure API layer using Node.js / Express, handling user portfolios, transaction histories, news feeds, and price updates.

Integrated real-time market data providers to fetch accurate stock and crypto prices.

Structured backend logic for transaction handling, cost basis methods, split calculations, and daily portfolio summaries.

Integrated external services for live stock and crypto data.

Implemented a news aggregation API to help users understand market movements directly within the app.

Added spreadsheet import functionality to allow users to bulk-upload their existing portfolio data.

Built and optimized the database schema using PostgreSQL, handling holdings, transactions, historical prices, and user preferences.

Ensured efficient querying to support smooth rendering of large portfolios and multi-year chart ranges.

Wrote unit and integration tests using Jest to ensure stable performance across devices.

Deployed the backend on AWS, configured CI/CD pipelines, and optimized API response times for mobile performance.
