Figments.brings to live all the fantasy about how innovative, intriguing and incredible modern day teaching could be.
With the program "Digital Tools in University Teaching", the Ministry of Culture and Science NRW and the Digital University NRW (DH.NRW) are funding the cross-university production of digital tools, also known as software tools, to the tune of around four million euros.

We developed a cutting-edge AR/VR learning and training sandbox. It for one contains tools for designing immersive virtual scenarios. Secondly, it delivers everything you need to use your lessons in networked, collaborative ways. And lastly, we considered integration in the large variety of University-specific On-Premise architectures and systems.

Budget: ~$ 4 Million (funded by BMBF)
Deliverables:
• The Software itself is readily usable as a desktop or android application (Yes, also for Oculus Quest).
• Extensive software documentation organized in a wiki.
• Research papers developed based on studies we performed.
The awesome Team achieved something impossible: 3 PhD students and 2 active developers, a full-time project lead in the ring and a lot of work.
