DEFINING LOW FREQUENCY CULTURE
In the early 2000s, bass music culture was already established, with strong roots in sound system tradition and global communities. However, its visual expression often lacked the same level of precision and intention found in the music itself.
For a culture defined by technical depth, physical impact, and disciplined experimentation, there was an opportunity to develop a more cohesive and considered design language.
Dataset was created to explore how this world could be translated visually.
The challenge was to build a system that reflected the structure and energy
of low frequency environments while remaining authentic to a niche, highly informed audience.
It also served as a platform for experimentation, enabling the development of a distinct voice within the music industry.
