🦷 Smilo – A Modern Dental Practice Management App

Smilo is a digital solution designed to modernize the workflow of dental practitioners. It offers a seamless way to manage appointments, conduct virtual consultations, and diagnose dental issues with visual clarity — all from a single mobile app.

The core goal was to empower dentists with a simple yet powerful interface that enhances efficiency and patient engagement, especially in hybrid/remote setups.

Dental clinics often face:

We interviewed 6 dental practitioners across urban and semi-urban clinics. Key insights:

Most use 2–3 apps for scheduling, communication, and X-ray viewing

Patients often fail to understand diagnoses without visual aids

Dentists needed real-time toggling between calendar and patient information during consultations

Color Palette: Warm yellow with deep blacks for a modern, professional feel. High contrast improves readability under dental clinic lighting.

Typography: Large and legible for quick scanning, especially during live consultations

3D X-Ray Visuals: Made intuitive with color-coded diagnosis pins (Decay = Yellow, Ignored = Gray)

Voice Button: Prioritized over text for faster mid-session notes
