Uphold is a multi-asset digital money platform offering financial services to a global market. Their unique ‘Anything-to-Anything’ trading experience enables customers to trade directly between asset classes with embedded payments facilitating a future where everyone has access to financial services. Uphold has powered more than US$4+ billion in transactions.

In 2021, I embarked on an exciting journey to develop the Leaf Design System, alongside my teammate and the incredibly talented designer, Rui Bogas. Guided by the leadership of Jeison Valejo, we dove into understanding all the needs and requirements necessary to breathe life into the design system. Our goal was pretty clear – to give our company and the team a helping hand in making our products more consistent and appealing.

We wanted the design system to be super user-friendly. Think of it as having all the building blocks at your fingertips, so our designers could have a blast creating cool, innovative stuff without sweating over the basics.
