Concept Overview

Black Ember Coffee is a spec brand identity concept built around warmth, depth, and modern café sophistication. The goal was to design a complete visual system for a premium coffee brand that communicates quality, craftsmanship, and approachability from the first glance.

The Visual System

The identity centers on a bold ember-inspired logo that captures the intensity and warmth of freshly roasted coffee. The design language pairs rich roasted tones with clean, modern typography to strike a balance between premium and inviting.

Brand Touchpoints

The system was applied across a full range of brand touchpoints to demonstrate how the identity holds up in real-world contexts:
Logo & Wordmark — A distinctive ember flame mark paired with confident type
Packaging Design — Coffee bags with a rich, tactile feel that stands out on shelves
Cup & Drinkware — Branded cups designed for both in-store and takeaway
Storefront Signage — Environmental branding that draws foot traffic
