Project Context:

NTA News, a prominent Nigerian news organization, recognized the need for a comprehensive overhaul of its visual identity and digital platforms to stay competitive and relevant in the rapidly evolving media landscape. The project aimed to modernize NTA News's brand image and enhance its online presence to engage a broader audience.

Key Steps and Strategies:

  1. Discovery and Research:
    • Conducted thorough research to understand NTA News's history, target audience, and current market position. Analyzed industry trends and benchmarked against competitors.
  2. Stakeholder Interviews:
    • Engaged with NTA News stakeholders, including editorial teams and management, to gather insights, expectations, and requirements for the redesign.
  3. Visual Identity Redesign:
    • Developed a new visual identity that modernized the brand while respecting its heritage. This included refreshing the logo, color palette, typography, and graphic elements to convey credibility and dynamism.




























  1. User-Centered Design (UCD):
    • Applied a user-centered design approach to the revamp of the mobile and web apps. Conducted user interviews and created user personas to ensure the new design would meet the needs and preferences of the target audience.
  2. Information Architecture:
    • Improved the structure and navigation of the apps to make it easier for users to access news content, videos, and features. Created wireframes and prototypes to visualize the new layouts.
  3. Mobile-First Approach:
    • Designed mobile interfaces first, ensuring that the apps were responsive and provided an optimal user experience on smartphones and tablets, which are primary devices for news consumption.
  4. Content Strategy:
    • Worked with NTA News content teams to develop a content strategy that emphasized engaging storytelling, multimedia integration, and real-time updates.











Outcome

The redesigned visual identity and digital platforms for NTA News successfully modernized the brand and improved its online presence. The user-friendly mobile and web apps enhanced the news consumption experience for audiences, resulting in increased engagement and a stronger competitive position in the Nigerian media landscape.
