My client, Galerie Marguo needed a filmmaker that could to travel to conduct a documentary interview of painter Godwin Champs Namuyimba in Uganda.

Due to them being in Paris, and their artist being in Uganda, I was tasked with not only filming, editing and creation of this film, but also staying abreast of the production needs which involved arranging my VISA, flights, hotel bookings in an foreign country.

Pre-Production: Putting together a team Applying for and securing our VISA's Flight and hotel bookings

Artist interview: I was prior informed that the artist was extremely closed off and shy so over the course of a few days, I spent time with him to get him comfortable speaking on camera by having pre-interviews and walking him through the process.

Developed the interview questions and facilitated the filmed interview

Filming: I did a recce of the space the day before and lighting tests, on the day of the interview I filmed him with the help of a production assistant

Editing: Edited the film for website, youtube and portrait social media (instagram, tiktok, youtube shorts). 16X9 and 9x16 format
