You may or may not be acquainted with the word SaaS, but it is now one of the necessities of life whether you are an individual or a business organization. The principle methodology behind SaaS is about the delivery of services over the internet with the help of a cloud-based storage server. To get the benefits of SaaS, one has to buy a subscription. The formerly said line actively demonstrates that one doesn’t need to install any external software to store the data, but it is stored in a cloud-based server, the files of which are deployed at the time when a user commands to use it. Based on its functionality, SaaS applications have been categorized into five basic categories listed below:
1.Enterprise Resource Planning Application: A SaaS ERP is an application that runs mainly on the vendor’s or the cloud service provider’s server, applications like these are generally run on a subscription basis. The principal feature of ERP software is that it is multi-user software with the same interface and features, which has little to no options for customization, but the data of each user is secured separately within its server.
2.Project Management Application: Apart from the in-person practices done by any organization, an organization needs to have the ability to manage the projects virtually, and that is when Project Management Application as SaaS comes in handy. A SaaS project management application brings a set of comprehensive tools like an online chatbot, virtual meeting room, analytical tools to track workflow, and many others that help increase the effectiveness of the work done
3.Customer Relation Management Application: Having good relations with customers is one of the most pivotal elements of a successful business, and it is an arduous, and time taking process at the same time if done manually. So as a solution to this, companies now use CRM application as SaaS to reduce the time required to manage the relationship with existing customers and create new customers while saving efforts, time and money.
4.Email Marketing Application: It is crucial to spread the word and educate the existing and potential customers about the product or services that a business offers, there are generally two methods to get the word out about any product, one is to do organic marketing, which may or may not yield results and the other is through paid advertising campaigns. The former consumes too much time, and the latter consumes too much money. This is where the role of SaaS Email Marketing Application starts. Applications based on this principle help to get the word out to every existing and potential customer about any product. It helps to create timely targeted emails and helps increase conversion.
5.Accounting Application: Accounting and managing finances are some of the crucial parts of any business whether it is a small or big organization. The best part is that SaaS exists in the field of accounting as well, and there are several applications that one can use to manage the finances and get time to concentrate on other core activities of the business as well.
To sum up, everything that has been stated so far, it is crucial to select one of the many categories of the SaaS software in today’s fast-paced business dynamics. SaaS applications have proven to be highly effective as far as increasing the efficiency of business is concerned. SaaS application being highly efficient and cost-effective is the reason why many organizations have already switched to SaaS based applications for their day to day working, and many more are shifting towards it, which actively demonstrates that SaaS industry is expected to flourish even more in the coming years and the business should adopt a SaaS model in the coming years in the current dynamic business environment.
