Conflicting Evidence Explorer | Synthetic Demo
Project overview A public, interactive demonstration of contradictory assertions, selective output withholding and simulated review. All organizations, evidence, origin groups and review choices are fictional. Try it directly in a browser with no installation: https://tribloc-evidence-conflicts.pages.dev/
The problem When sources disagree, silently selecting a value can produce an unsupported conclusion. This demonstration preserves the conflict, withholds the affected booking conclusion and follow-up, and keeps the unrelated service-area assertion available.
My role I defined the architecture, bounded scenarios and acceptance criteria. Implementation was assisted by AI. This is an independent portfolio sample, not a client engagement or production research result.
What was implemented A browser-compatible deterministic engine handles conflicting, agreeing, copied, stale, absent and future-dated fixture evidence. Only allowlisted claims and values are accepted. A simulated operator can retain one conflicting assertion while both sources remain visible. The choice is bound to an exact evidence snapshot; changing an input invalidates the old review and reopens the affected conflict. Each visitor's state stays in that browser tab and resets on reload.
Validation and evidence 36 automated tests passed on 17 October 2026. Ten local browser checks passed, including selective withholding, explicit choices, review invalidation and reset on reload. The public site's review and invalidation path was also exercised successfully. Source code, tests, reports and recorded examples are available on GitHub.
Scope and limitations No LLM, live research, credentials, customer data or internal project code is included. These are structured fixture assertions, not natural-language contradiction detection. Origin independence is declared in fictional metadata, not verified. Review is simulated, not an authenticated human approval or proof of truth. This is a public demonstration, not a production decision system or security-audit result.
