Apparel design for a Bitcoin-native NFT project — extending INKedBTC's ink-painting aesthetic off-chain with deliberate, craft-first merch.
Role: Graphic Designer | Client: INKedBTC
INKedBTC built something rare in the Ordinals space: a Bitcoin-native NFT project that led with craft. Lead artist Joey Dodd, who had worked with Marvel and DC, brought a distinctive ink-painting style to 10,000 characters inscribed directly onto Legacy Sats. The art was the product. The community followed the quality.
As a community member and designer, I saw an opportunity to extend that visual identity off-chain.
A small apparel line designed to honor the aesthetic INKedBTC had already established, black-on-black, ink-heavy, with the project's signature orange used as a punctuation mark rather than a base.
The dragon tee draws from the ink-wash illustration style central to the INK PFP style.
The hoodies layer the project's kanji typography (墨水 — "ink"), sleeve text, and the original character artwork from the collection. The graphic poster design references the project's cyber-editorial visual language: barcodes, grid warps, and the manga-influenced figure work that defined the INK aesthetic.
Everything was designed to look like it belonged in the collection, not merch bolted onto it.
Takeaway
The best community merch doesn't try to market the project, it lives inside the world the project already built. For INK, that meant committing to the same craft standards the core team set: deliberate, ink-first, Bitcoin-permanent.
The best merch doesn't announce a project. It lives inside the world it came from. I am open to apparel and product design for brands, NFT communities, and independent creators who lead with craft.
