Motion Graphics: Bridgepointe 2022 Event Intro

Client's Expectations

I was given this task by a client from Upwork. He was entrusted by his partners from Bridgepointe Tech to create their event introduction video. They specified that they wanted the logo bumper to be similar to their old animation. The theme was "Amplify the Signal."

Other specifications:

• Move the "knob" like a count-up to 2022
• Morph the logo changing to the newer logos as time progresses

Logo Bumper

The original opening video isn't available right now, but the client told me that I nailed the bumper which leads me to create more of it for their other video intros.

It was made in Adobe After Effects using the Saber, and Lighting FX.

• The Saber FX was morphed into the outline of the logo, and the Lighting FX helped illuminate the logo.
• Both were used to create a starting-up animation, accompanied by sound effects to create more of that feeling.

Logo Glitch

I used a displacement map from a pre-comp solid layer that consists of Turbulent Noise FX, Directional Wipe FX, and cc Scale Wipe FX. They were used to create the animation of the glitch.

Knob Animation

(Timestamp: 0:13-1:10)

It was a simple rotation animation with an added Lighting FX to points within the knob to act as a "Volume Indicator" which in this case is a "Year Indicator."

Logo Morphing

(Timestamp: 1:23-1:24) It was challenging to morph it using the built-in Morph effect however, I got around it by using the Timewarp FX.

Background Sound Waves

(Timestamp: 0:13-2:54)

It was made using an Audio Spectrum FX to create the sound waves, and then the aesthetic was achieved by adding a fill and directional blur.
