For this event poster series, I collaborated with the brand owner to bring her radical vision to life. I created these posters with the intention of evoking the same revolutionary feeling as the brand and concept behind the event. Bold colors, effortlessly cool typefaces, and a lot of textures play into the theme.

I paid homage to the pioneers of the black techno golden age by referencing Grace Jones, the ultimate cool party girl of the 80s.

I found this picture of Uhura from Star Trek in the 60's spinning records, and I couldn't resist using it for this second poster.
