Background: I wrote this welcome sequence prior to the launch of my business, NMS Strategy. We help businesses with content strategy, planning, and creation. For this sequence, I wanted to introduce the company and myself, highlight the problems we solve, and give the reader the first step to solving their content issue.

Hi, [Name]!
Welcome!
I see you over there, doing it all.
Building a service or product that matters.
Delivering excellent service to your clients.
Growing your business, because what you do matters to you, your customers, and your family.
You know a sustainable content strategy will make your dreams happen. You go through the motions of developing a strategy and brainstorming content ideas.
Then…crickets. Your content ideas sit on your desktop, unplanned, unproduced, and unpublished.
I’m here to tell you that it’s possible to take your content from planned to published – and show you how.
I’m Nicole, the owner of NMS Strategy. After a decade in journalism, I stepped away to help small business owners like you move out of the day-to-day grind of content strategy, planning, and production.
I’m so glad you’re here.

Welcome Sequence Email #2
Subject line: What's really causing your content issue?
Hey, [Name]!
It’s great to land in your inbox again!
Let’s start with a bit of reassurance: If you’re feeling overwhelmed keeping up with content grind, you are not alone.
That feeling is totally normal. I felt it while working in media as a reporter, editor, and planner. Since starting NMS Strategy, I’ve worked with clients who feel that way, too.
The good thing? It’s possible to take your business through a content transformation. And we can start right here, right now.
Yesterday, I promised to share some of my best tips for starting your content transformation. Today, I’m going to do just that, starting with how to actually diagnose your content-related issues.
Developing and executing an effective content workflow comes down to three buckets:
Strategy
Planning
Production
These three facets work together to streamline your entire content workflow. The strategy tells you what to do. The process tells you how to do it. The team ensures it actually gets done.
If your content is not generating leads or sales, the issue is your strategy.
If you are consistently having trouble filling your content calendar – or, heck, you don’t have a calendar – the issue is your planning process.
If you are having trouble publishing content consistently, the issue is your production process.
Did one of those jump out to you? Reply to this email and let me know.
Can't wait to hear from you,
Nicole
P.S.: If this email helped you diagnose your content issue and you're looking for a help, a strategy call can help determine the next steps.
Welcome Sequence Email #3
Subject line: How to take the first step to solve your content problems
Hi, [Name],
Yesterday, we took the first step toward your content transformation by diagnosing the root of your content-related issues.
Today, I’m going to share the first step toward solving each issue. They aren’t complicated. But sometimes, figuring out what’s next is the hardest part of solving a problem.
If your problem is your strategy…
Find the hard copy of your content strategy. I’m serious.
If you don’t have your strategy on paper, it’s not a strategy. It’s a vision.
Your content strategy should be written down in one document. If you’ve worked with multiple coaches or DIY’d it, that’s OK. But pull it together into one easy-to-find document.
If your problem is planning…
Identify one piece of long-form content you can repurpose in the next two weeks.
Whether you repurpose it yourself or outsource it to someone else, put this item on your radar. A fresh spin on an old piece can lead to huge results.
If your problem is production…
Finalize your next piece of content. Not next week’s or next month’s, but the item you are publishing next. Make sure it is approved and scheduled. Then, breathe a sigh of relief because you won’t be scrambling tomorrow.
These steps won’t take you long, but they’re important because they require action.
Take the first step. And when you do, reply to this email and let me know so I can cheer you on!
Talk to you soon,
Nicole
P.S.: If you took that first step while reading this email, keep the momentum going! Book a strategy call so we can determine the best next step for your business.

Subject line: Alright, what’s my next step?
Hi, [Name],
Alright. Be honest. How did it feel to take that first step to take your content ideas from planned to published?
Hopefully, it felt like a sigh of relief – and gave you some momentum.
Let’s build on that, shall we?
From now on, you’ll receive my weekly newsletter on Thursday. It’ll have tips and tricks for content strategy, planning, and production that you can implement on your own.
But if you’re ready to get content strategy, planning, and production off of your plate, it might be time to bring in an expert. Book a call so we can chat about taking your content ideas from planned to published.
Publishing great content consistently doesn’t need to be difficult – and it doesn’t have to fall completely on your shoulders.
I can’t wait to land in your inbox (or meet you in person) soon,
Nicole
