BlackMoon is a studio located in Algarve, Portugal, offering personalized tattoo and nail art services. As they celebrate their 4-year anniversary and due to their growing business, BlackMoon needed a more efficient way to showcase their work and simplify communication with clients—particularly for bookings.

The goal was to create a clean, professional, and user-friendly website that captured BlackMoon’s commitment to personalized care and artistry while offering visitors an engaging way to explore their work and connect with the studio.

Intuitive booking process for clients

The final result features a sleek, minimalist look in line with BlackMoon’s black and white aesthetic, inspired by the clean look of Apple’s style.

The client’s high-quality media content played a key role in showcasing the studio’s professionalism and atmosphere, so I integrated a dedicated video section (or a media carousel) at the top of most pages.

The website was developed on Framer, taking advantage of its no-code platform to create a seamless, fully responsive site with a fast development process and smooth performance across all devices.

CMS: A user-friendly CMS was implemented, allowing the BlackMoon team to effortlessly update their portfolio with new tattoo and manicure projects. Since the client isn’t very tech-savvy, I provided clear, step-by-step video instructions to guide them through managing and updating their content independently.

Localization: To accommodate BlackMoon’s growing international clientele, including English-speaking expats and tourists, the website includes bilingual functionality for both portuguese and english speaking users.

SEO: The website was optimized for search engines with clean architecture, relevant keywords, and fast performance to boost visibility, attract a wider audience, and drive bookings.

Booking Form: Instead of using Framer's default form, I integrated Tally for the booking system. Tally allowed me to include a file upload field, enabling users to easily share image or video references for their desired tattoos or nail designs. This feature streamlines communication and ensures BlackMoon can better understand client needs before appointments.
