Save the Ball: A Unity Arcade Game Development Project
I recently developed Save the Ball, a captivating mobile arcade game built with the Unity engine. This project allowed me to leverage my game development skills to create a fun and engaging experience for players of all ages.
The objective of Save the Ball is simple: guide a ball through a series of obstacle courses to rescue captured friends. However, creating a game that was easy to pick up but challenging to master required careful design and implementation. I utilized Unity's physics engine to create realistic ball movement and implemented intuitive swipe controls that allow players to easily navigate the courses.
To enhance the gameplay experience, I incorporated various obstacles and interactive elements. Players must dodge moving platforms, jump over gaps, and collect coins and power-ups along the way. I designed two distinct game modes: a Story Mode with progressively challenging levels and an Arcade Mode that provides endless gameplay.

Development Process
I began by prototyping the core gameplay mechanics, focusing on the ball's movement and the swipe controls. I then designed a variety of levels for the Story Mode, each with unique challenges and obstacles.
To create the game's visuals, I used my skills in 3D modeling and animation. I also implemented particle effects and dynamic lighting to enhance the visual appeal of the game.
Throughout the development process, I conducted rigorous testing to ensure the game was balanced and bug-free. I also optimized the game's performance to ensure smooth gameplay on a variety of mobile devices.
Results
Save the Ball successfully delivers a fun and challenging arcade experience that appeals to a wide audience. The game's intuitive controls, engaging gameplay, and visually appealing graphics combine to create a truly enjoyable mobile gaming experience. This project further solidified my expertise in Unity development, game design, and mobile optimization.
