Web Design - Tukdin, a malaysian restaurant

Tukdin is a Malaysian restaurant in Paddington, London, founded in tribute to the late Allahyarham Zainuddin Yahaya. The brief: build a web presence that carries the warmth and authenticity of home-style Malaysian cooking into a digital experience.

I started with a Framer template as a framework, but once I understood how each section and component behaved, I dismantled everything and rebuilt from scratch. The animations came from the Framer marketplace. I studied each one thoroughly, took them apart, and tweaked them to reflect the restaurant's theme and the way malay dishes are prepared; gentle yet precise.

Claude handled custom component logic where Framer's native tools fell short. Figma was used strictly for vector manipulation work.

Being new to Framer, this project became a deep learning experience. The process of deconstructing marketplace animations and rebuilding them with intention taught me more than any tutorial could.

Phase 2 is currently underway: a restaurant reservation system integrated directly into the site.
