Post Padel is a mobile app for iOS and Android built for padel players by Padelgrips.nl, the Netherlands' specialist in padel gear. After every match, players rate their performance shot by shot and the AI coach turns that data into personalised advice for the next session.
The Challenge
Every existing tracker treated padel as a generic racket sport and none was fast enough to use after a match.
The app had to be padel-first, the right shots, terminology and rhythm of the game.
It had to feel free in spirit, with no paywalls, subscriptions or upsells.
What We Built
A 60-second logging flow across forehand, backhand, volley, smash, bandeja and vibora, with standout moments and weak spots.
An OpenAI-powered coach that generates tips personal to the player, not generic advice.
One-tap PDF coach reports and weekly and monthly trend views.
An integrated gear shop that surfaces Padelgrips.nl products based on what the player is working on.
How We Did It
Design. Everything optimised for the post-match moment, because if players do not log, the AI has nothing to work with.
Build. Native iOS client in Swift and SwiftUI, an Android app, a Python service for structured insight and Supabase for data and auth.
Launch. Delivered for Padelgrips.nl and released on the App Store and Google Play in a six-month timeline.
Outcome
Every match becomes a learning loop with a clear plan for the next session.
Coaches receive structured reports instead of guesswork.
Padelgrips.nl gained a direct channel into the daily habits of the padel community.
iOS and Android app where players log a match in 60 seconds and an AI coach turns it into personalised tips, trends and PDF reports. Swift, Python, OpenAI.
