Brand concept

A general importing goods company that sells everything from lunch bags to foods. They mainly want the logo to stand out on shirts and bags and sports equipment.

Style attributes are clearly created by clients.

Art Direction

Other than that, they provided some references and inserted a basic design that they had developed, but they kept looking for something more complex and professional for the brand. In order to visualize cohesively, I made myself a mood board from style guidelines.

Combined mood boards

Branded visual

Things to do first are develop color palettes and typography. The client had a color preference with blue and orange spectrum as their company branding guideline, while my role here was to find the best match color for a professional yet easy-to-remember logo.

A blue one absolutely looks non-amateur and reliable as a brand, while this color represents the brand name itself, Coral. On the other side, Orange gave the logo conspicuousness to become an easy-to-remember logo. Since they were striving for a strong logo, Avenir Heavy was suitable. Courier Reguler was selected to match the old one.

Logo

From briefs and image references, they needed a coral illustration that was more intricate and resonated with its brand name. Hence, creating an easy-to-remember logo can be picked with the first letter name, C. Here, the letter C was intersected with a hand-drawn coral illustration.

Lastly, the logo in action was placed on a mini hoodie and bags that embodied a powerful voice without making it look kitschy.

Deliverables

This logo design had been submitted through the 99designs platform. These files were sent in various types, such as JPEG, PNG, and EPS in one folder. The non-commercial fonts were discussed with the client so they would have purchased them separately.
