When you log "intense anxiety", a form asking you to explain it is the last thing you need. For BETR we built Ask Ben: a short, gentle chat that helps you find out what's really behind the feeling.
Meeting Ben: he pops out of his circle, waves hello, and glances down at "Start conversation" as if he's been waiting for you. One tap and he shrinks into the chat header, so it feels like the same friend carrying on the conversation.
The chat: Ben asks one simple question at a time. You can type or just talk, and the voice note turns straight into text, so you never have to find the right words on the spot.
Root cause: after a few replies, Ben sums it up in a card with the main trigger (Work & Career) and your own words as context. Confirm, save, and the session closes calmly.
We kept Ben's personality in the small moments on purpose: a blink, a little hop, raised brows. Talking about anxiety is easier when it feels like talking to someone, not filling something in.
Would you talk through your feelings with a character like Ben?
