Nestmade: Branding and Streamlining Tattoo Inquiries Through a Clearer Booking Flow

Live project preview: https://nestmade.studio/
Nestmade is a tattoo studio from Zagreb, Croatia, built around thoughtful artistry, personal storytelling, and a calm, crafted aesthetic. Our goal was to translate that feeling into a digital experience that feels warm, distinctive, and easy to use—while also supporting the practical side of running a tattoo business.
For this project, we focused on four connected parts of the experience: the branding, website, tattoo guides, and photography.

Branding

We began the project with a series of branding workshops to help shape the foundation of Nestmade before moving into digital execution. Together with the client, we explored naming directions that could support not only a tattoo studio, but also craft workshops and future creative ideas she wanted the brand to grow into.
From there, we ran a visual direction workshop focused on defining the overall look and feel of the brand—covering colors, typography, mood, and key adjectives that would guide the identity.
These sessions gave us a clear strategic and visual base for everything that followed, ensuring the website, booking flow, photography, and guides all felt aligned with a brand that is thoughtful, crafted, and built to evolve.

Website

The website was designed and built as a custom Framer experience that reflects Nestmade’s softer, more editorial approach to tattooing.
Instead of relying on typical dark, aggressive tattoo studio aesthetics, we created a visual direction that feels elegant, calm, and expressive. Large typography, soft tones, layered compositions, and curated tattoo imagery helped position Nestmade as a more personal and art-driven studio.
The website also had to do more than just look good. It needed to help users understand the studio, explore the artist’s work, and take action with confidence.

What we designed

A custom website in Framer
A CMS-powered tattoo gallery
Clear navigation and booking entry points
A more immersive and story-driven homepage
Interactive presentation for educational guide content

Outcome

The final website gives Nestmade a strong digital presence that feels true to the studio’s personality while making it easier for potential clients to explore the work and move toward booking.

Multi-step tattoo session booking form

We also streamlined the tattoo inquiry process through a multi-step booking form designed to collect all the right information upfront. Instead of relying on scattered messages and back-and-forth clarification, the form guides potential clients step by step through key details such as tattoo style, references, placement, size, and preferred timing.
This made the booking experience feel more structured and approachable for users, while helping the studio save time, reduce incomplete inquiries, and start each conversation with better context.

Tattoo Guides

Tattoo aftercare is an important part of the client experience, but it often gets delivered in ways that feel generic, forgettable, or disconnected from the brand.
For Nestmade, we designed tattoo care guides that extend the studio experience beyond the appointment itself. The goal was to make practical information feel clear, branded, and worth engaging with.
We created guides that work both as a helpful resource and as a brand touchpoint. On the website, they are presented in a more visual, elevated way, including 3D book-style presentation that makes the content feel tactile and intentional. We also designed the guide for print, so the experience continues offline as well.

What we designed

Tattoo aftercare guide for digital use
Printed tattoo care guide
Branded visual system for educational content
3D guide presentation for the website

Outcome

The guides help Nestmade communicate care and professionalism in a more memorable way, turning a practical necessity into part of the studio’s identity.

Photography

Photography played a major role in shaping the final experience. Because Nestmade is a personal brand as much as it is a service business, the visuals needed to capture not just tattoos, but also the artist, the process, and the atmosphere behind the studio.
We organized and created professional photography that could be used across the website and guide materials. This gave the brand a much more authentic and cohesive feel compared to relying only on tattoo close-ups or casual social media content.
The final photo set helped us show different layers of the brand:
The artist behind the work
The studio environment
The drawing and tattooing process
The calm, personal mood of the space

Outcome

The photography gave Nestmade a stronger sense of presence and credibility, making the brand feel more human, premium, and complete across every touchpoint.

Result

Together, the website, tattoo guides, and photography created a more connected brand experience for Nestmade—one that supports both storytelling and usability.
The result is a digital presence that helps the studio look more established, communicate more clearly, and offer a more thoughtful experience before, during, and after each tattoo session.
