I worked on a QuickBooks Online bookkeeping project for a pharmacy business, focusing on reconciling bank and PayPal accounts and ensuring the accounting records matched the corresponding financial statements.

The Challenge

The business needed its financial transactions reviewed and reconciled accurately across multiple accounts. The goal was to identify discrepancies, verify cleared transactions, and ensure the ending balances in QuickBooks matched the statement balances.

What I Did

Reconciled the PayPal account against the period-ending statement.

Reconciled the Wells Fargo checking account.

Reviewed cleared checks, payments, deposits, and other credits.

Compared statement ending balances with QuickBooks register balances.

Verified reconciliation reports and investigated differences where necessary.

Maintained organized and accurate bookkeeping records in QuickBooks Online.

Result

The accounts were successfully reconciled, with the statement ending balances matching the QuickBooks register balances for the periods reviewed. The completed reconciliation reports provided a clear audit trail and helped ensure the bookkeeping records were accurate and up to date.
