In the aftermath of the global pandemic, the City of Surrey embarked on a remarkable journey of revitalization and rebranding in close collaboration with Discover Surrey. This ambitious transformation transcended the realms of mere marketing and communication strategies; it extended to the creation of a dynamic presence at trade shows and exhibitions.
I had the incredible opportunity to be a part of the Torque Strategy Team as one of the graphic designers, contributing to the development of essential elements like the Trade show booth pull-out banner, podium, and feather banners. Our collective mission was to craft a trade show booth that would eloquently convey Surrey's narrative of recovery and proudly display its redefined identity.
Our approach to this creative challenge was multifaceted:
Conceptualization: We initiated our design journey by immersing ourselves in Surrey's repositioned brand and understanding its aspirations for the trade show. Our goal was to create an immersive experience that would deeply resonate with visitors, encapsulating the spirit of recovery and the sense of community that Surrey had embraced.
Visual Identity: Drawing inspiration from Surrey's refreshed brand identity, we skillfully integrated its vibrant color palette, dynamic logo, and core messaging into the booth's design. Every visual element was meticulously curated to project a seamless and compelling narrative, effectively capturing the essence of our project's objectives.
In sum, our collaboration resulted in a trade show booth that not only showcased Surrey's remarkable journey but also served as a testament to the power of design in storytelling. It was an honor to contribute to Surrey's rebranding efforts and to be part of a team dedicated to promoting its resurgence on the global stage.
