TV Academy Nominations Platform (Primetime Emmys)

Dickon Kent

My role on this project was as creative director and UX designer. In reality, this ended up including building wireframes and designing in Sketch. I also worked on project management, requirements gathering with client, sourcing and building the QA team, some budgeting and scheduling, and working very closely with the development team to help keep the project in scope. https://awards.televisionacademy.com/login In order to win a Primetime Emmy, applicants need to submit their data into over 100 different categories that are managed by peer review groups at the Television Academy. This application had two distinct user sets: Submitters and TV Academy Administrators. On the submitter side, I had to reduce the friction to make it as simple as possible to submit nomination applications, whether the user had only one or they worked for a network and had to submit up to 300. On the admin side, the Academy team had to review all the submissions, manage the progression and review of submissions, communicate with submitters through the platform, manage finances tied to submissions, and generate a series of reports of the submitted entries.
