Problem Statement

A medium sized business receiving many purchase orders via email which were required to be manually input into their legacy General Ledger resulting in many data entry errors. Further staff shortage meant many purchase orders will not be loaded in time resulting in orders being delayed and their customers complaining about delays. Client was thinking of recruiting additional staff to speed up the data entry and to reduce order delays

Solution

1. Recommended a bot based solution which would replicate a human and continue to work 24/7 i.e. a Robotic Process Automation (RPA) based on UiPath's Automation Bot
2. Captured the existing processing of the Purchase Orders
3. Designed a prototype of how a bot will act for part of the process
4. Once the client approved the prototype, delivered end to end RPA bot right from requirements and design to test and operationalisation.
