Ilustrafest is an annual illustration festival in Madrid, organised by UDIT. I was brought in to design and build a website that could showcase the festival’s artists and initiatives while creating a home for past editions.

The result needed to feel editorial and easy to explore, without becoming difficult to maintain as new festival content was added.

Each edition brings together a growing collection of artists, initiatives, and artwork. The website needed to do 2 jobs at once: introduce the current festival and work as a structured archive for everything that came before it.

That meant building an experience capable of handling many artists per edition, each with their own information and multiple works, while keeping the browsing experience clear and visually calm.

I built the site in Framer, using CMS Collections to structure the archive. Each artist has a dedicated CMS entry containing their name, description, and work. Those entries are surfaced through a reusable layout organised by edition and initiative.

This gave the UDIT team a maintainable system: add or update content in the CMS, and the archive stays consistent without rebuilding the page structure each time.

The archive component brings editions, initiatives, artists, and artwork into a single navigable experience. The layout needed to carry a lot of content without feeling crowded, so the visual system stays focused on hierarchy, pacing, and clear paths through the work.

A Framer website that gives Ilustrafest a flexible home for its current programme and a scalable archive for the artists and initiatives that shape each edition.
