When both people watching and staring at your own reflection is carried out in the depths where the soul resides, the sounds you hear are Ochre. This is the solo project and natural musical progression & maturing of singer/songwriter, Charlotte Lloyd-Butler. Germinating from previous expressions of emotional pangs & impassioned pains, Ochre is a “vessel for the exploration of the construction of self”, whilst acting as a grace-giving approach to curiously exploring the processing and teachings of life’s multifarious encounters. After embracing the plentiful hedonistic gifts that Brighton offers, Charlotte digests the noise of living and presents a swirling introspective take that culminates in a sonic blend of atmospheric harmonies and a textural weave of guitars. Glorious golden hour warmth emits from nods to formative acoustic sounds, refined from time creating music in Falmouth whilst studying. Ochre contemplates the complexity of the human reaction with an intimacy and fragility that warmly supports as listeners are compelled to gaze inwards.
