A Magical Experience: Landing Page Design and Development

This case study showcases the concept design of a landing page for an herbal workshop. The goal was to capture the essence of a traditional hands-on learning experience focused on herbs and the magical art of potion-making. The landing page design aimed to evoke a sense of closeness to nature, mystery, and old knowledge, through beautiful photography and engaging visuals.

Mood boards established a website aesthetic that evoked a sense of mystery, old wisdom, and nature. The aim was to create a visual experience that transported visitors to old times, filled with mystery, magic, and the extraordinary. Through imagery, fonts and colour palettes, I wanted to evoke a sense of magic and wonder.

To figure out how everything would fit together and flow smoothly, I’ve created wireframes of the landing page, booking and contact pages.

The final design demonstrates how I translated the style board and wireframes into a live website. Blues and greens create a sense of connection to nature. The shapes of old gothic window frames evoke a magical sense of something just to be revealed. Together with animations, this creates a feeling of looking into another, magical world. The elegant serif font suggests a connection to ancient wisdom and knowledge. Serif fonts often represent the sage archetype, evoking images of monks or old wizards. Small golden animated icons add a sparkle of magic.
