Web3 Makes Its Broadway Debut

Cory McLitus

Live theatre faces strong headwinds as the world charts a new path forward following the COVID-19 Pandemic. Weak attendance numbers, weekly show closing announcements and viruses continue to plague Broadway's bottom line. Enter Web3.
We launched BWAYX, the premiere destination for Broadway digital collectibles, to help address these challenges by enriching the fan experience for live theatre. We raised over $2 Million and attracted partnerships on and off Broadway and the West End. We pioneered new avenues for fan engagement and a new revenue model for shows. Our officially licensed collections also provided valuable support to our partners: Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and the Broadway Green Alliance.
