EU COVID 19 Stories of Hope

The European Union and Aga Khan Foundation, UK, funded the GSMC Covid-19 Stories of Hope Project, a 2.5-year initiative to train over 150 journalists in Kenya and Uganda. Eighteen displaced journalists, called Field Journalists (FJs), were trained in diverse media formats like mobile video and podcasting to produce stories of resilience during the pandemic. The project resulted in 125 stories from FJs and 25 from public training participants.
