I’ve been building something a little different for my portfolio: YUYA Film Studio, an interactive 3D film production studio built with Three.js + WebGL.
Instead of presenting my Video OS as a traditional case study with screenshots and diagrams, I wanted to turn the production workflow into a place you can actually walk through.
You enter the studio, meet the receptionist, use a spatial map to navigate, and move through the filmmaking process:
Creative Direction → 3D Previs → stage→ AI Generation & Dailies → Post → Screening
There are lots of small interactions throughout the experience. You can explore Film DNA and style frames, view shots through different camera setups, interact with the production set, compare previs with generated footage, explore the post-production timeline, and finally sit down in the screening room to watch the finished film.
I wanted the experience to feel less like a “3D portfolio” and more like visiting a real working film studio.
The project combines a lot of things I’ve been exploring lately:
Three.js / WebGL / spatial UX / 3D / filmmaking / AI video / interaction design / creative development.
I also wrote a full case study showing the thinking behind the studio, how I designed the production journey, and how the interactive experience was built.
Still experimenting, building, and learning . but I’m really happy to finally share this one.
