For the past five years, I have dreamed of being published. Fantasy is my favorite genre by far, and thus, I have worked on a fantasy novel for five years.
Why has it taken so long? Because writing is a learning process even for an experience writer. There is more to it than fancy word play and textbook grammar. Writing a story is about creativity and execution. It is also about confidence. While I am confident about my writing, I find that can't live up to my own expectations for my personal work. This is why it has taken so long. I can't look at the work I am so passionate about in an objective way, and have fallen in a hole of write and rewrite.
This is changing, however. As I am on my final draft. I am currently outlining a six part outline for my story, and will soon be putting it into Scrivener for drafting.
Inspirations are: Full Metal Alchemist, Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation, The Witcher Series, Grimgar, and much more.
