Google's Computer Science Summer Institute is a 4-week program where I learnt product management and how to build web pages using HTML, CSS and JavaScript. CSSI showed me how much software engineering is a team sport and that resonated with me - learning the importance of unity in order to maximise efficiency. In the last week of the program, we were split into groups of 4 and tasked with creating a webpage. When it came to planning our upcoming project, we became quite adventurous as we had the freedom to create a website about anything of our choice. On the last day, we presented our creation: a multi-game website featuring a version of ‘Snake’ which I singlehandedly worked on and a version of ‘Flappy Bird’. I became enamoured with the fundamentals of HTML, CSS and JavaScript and subsequently created my own website showcasing what I have learnt from the different programs I have taken part in. With my expanding technical adroitness, I am constantly modifying it. Thinking about, researching and implementing features that were not taught through any programs helped me understand the code on a deeper level and allowed me to broaden my knowledge on certain aspects
