Kumusha - A residential concept Kumusha is the Shona word for “homeland” — a concept central to Zimbabwean identity, and one of the last surviving strands linking modern-day culture to its pre-colonial past. This conceptual design of a multi-family homestead on my family’s kumusha is an act of cultural reclamation through architecture.
