Alex Chan - Next JS Template

A premium portfolio template designed in Figma and built with Next.js, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS. Part of mahumsamar.com/templates, a growing template marketplace powered by Sanity CMS for content management and Polar.sh for payments.

Most portfolio templates look the same. The goal was to design something that feels premium and editorial while staying developer-friendly and easy to customize. It also needed to plug into a larger marketplace system with CMS-driven content and integrated checkout.

Design in Figma: Started with a clean, editorial layout direction. Focused on typography hierarchy, whitespace, and letting the portfolio work speak for itself. Every section was designed to be modular so buyers can rearrange or remove blocks without breaking the layout.

Development: Built the frontend in Next.js with TypeScript for type safety and Tailwind CSS for rapid styling. Components are clean and reusable.

CMS Integration: Connected to Sanity CMS so template content can be managed without touching code. This also powers the marketplace listing on mahumsamar.com/templates.

Payments: Integrated Polar.sh for checkout, keeping the purchase flow smooth and the setup lightweight.
