Connecting People to Fitness Anytime, Anywhere

Life Time set out to elevate its On Demand workout feature, providing members with a seamless, engaging fitness experience accessible anytime, anywhere. The goal was to remain competitive with platforms like Peloton and Apple Fitness+ while driving growth in yearly viewer engagement from 355,000 to 1,000,000. The initiative focused on delivering a user-centric experience that simplifies content discovery, boosts member engagement, and deepens connections within Life Time’s fitness ecosystem.

Design Process

Audit Findings

Reviewed the mobile app, website, and communication channels to identify gaps in the On Demand experience. Integrated 70 new pickleball videos, highlighting challenges in navigating the growing library. Key Insight:
A growing content library made it difficult for users to find relevant workout videos.

Research Driven Competitor Analysis

To align On Demand with user needs, I collaborated with a UX researcher to conduct user interviews and a competitive analysis against Peloton and Apple Fitness+. Key Insight:
Users wanted better filtering and sorting, a feature competitors excelled at, revealing a clear opportunity to improve navigation and user satisfaction.
This analysis shows Life Time lacks key features like search, sorting, and filtering compared to competitors.
