Financial Analytics Platform with CDC Pipeline

A fintech startup was tracking financial KPIs across 3 separate spreadsheets maintained by different teams. Numbers never matched. The CFO was making board-level decisions on data that was often 2 weeks stale and riddled with manual errors. They needed a single source of truth with real-time updates.

I built a complete financial analytics platform with Change Data Capture (CDC) at its core. CDC connectors captured every transaction, account update, and balance change in real-time from their PostgreSQL production database. Data flowed into Snowflake where dbt models transformed raw events into financial reporting tables.

The platform included automated KPI tracking for revenue, burn rate, customer LTV, and unit economics. Executive dashboards updated every 5 minutes instead of every 2 weeks.
