When we spend time focused on the “should”, it’s not uncommon to feel a rise in shame and self-doubt when those "shoulds" aren’t achieved and feel out of reach. Instead, if we removed those shoulds altogether and focused more on our needs? Reflecting on our needs helps us focus on what feels most important to us individually, not what we feel we should be doing in comparison to others. Maybe the only “should” in our life is that we SHOULD focus on is what we NEED.
