Not everyone can be a rock star, but thanks to D.S. & Durga's Debaser perfume, everyone can smell like one. Since 2015, the olfactory wizards at the Brooklyn-based operation have been bottling the aura of rock ‘n’ roll in the form of a fragrance that mixes notes of blond woods, tonka bean, fig, and tops them all off with a hit of citrus-y bergamot. The entire formula is smoky, a little sweet, and extremely titillating, a far cry from the odors you might associate with gyrating across a stage under a hundred bright lights (though frankly, that sounds plenty sexy in its own way, too).

Named after the Pixie’s hit single, Debaser is a heady combination that's musky and deliciously saccharine in equal measure. Its scent profile evokes long summer days, the type you spend restlessly waiting around for the next thrill while music that feels like it was ripped from the depths of your soul blasts across the room. Which also explains why the latest generation of angsty teens can’t get enough of it.

Though it's been around for close to a decade, Debaser started to pick up traction more recently on #PerfumeTok, a not-so-niche corner of TikTok where creators have been hyping it up with gusto, helping the best-selling eau de parfum pick up a few high-profile fans along the way. Taking advice from TikTok isn't always the wisest policy, but this is one recommendation we can wholeheartedly get behind: we're big-time proponents of D.S. & Durga's entire selection, and its Debaser perfume is in excellent introduction to the distinct—and sometimes kooky—scents the brand does best.

In the winter, layering on a spicy, warm-weather scent is a great way to capture that telltale summertime high. (Who doesn't want to smell a little steamy year-round?)
