Smares - POS System

I had the opportunity to work on the development of Smares, an innovative Point of Sale (POS) system specifically designed for the hospitality industry, including restaurants, coffee shops, and hotels, as part of a promising startup. This comprehensive and user-friendly solution aimed to streamline operations and enhance customer experience across multiple platforms, including iOS, Android, and the web.

As a key team member, I contributed to the iOS and Android app development, using Java, Android Studio, Swift, and Xcode, and designed the user interfaces. My responsibilities included:

Collaborating with cross-functional teams for seamless integration and functionality.

Designing user interfaces catering to hospitality businesses, prioritizing usability and aesthetics.

Developing advanced features, such as menu customization, real-time inventory tracking, and order management.

Ensuring compatibility with various devices and operating systems, maintaining performance and responsiveness.

Addressing technical issues, prioritizing user experience and product quality.

Participating in code reviews and incorporating feedback for continuous improvement.

Although the startup did not succeed, the experience provided invaluable insights into the challenges of the hospitality industry and working within a startup environment. I learned to adapt to unforeseen obstacles, strengthening my resilience, problem-solving skills, and expanding my technical and design skills with a dedicated team.
