LeafLogic was designed to solve a common problem: plant care is often complex, time-consuming, and fragmented. Many users struggle with forgetfulness, lack of reliable information, and the need to consult numerous sources. The goal was to transform plant care into an intuitive and engaging experience.

Conducting user research and competitor analysis to identify users’ pain points and industry standards;

Designing key user flows to ensure simple onboarding, personalized schedules, achievements, and diagnostics;

Creating high-fidelity prototypes and design systems in Figma with accessibility as a top priority;

Automated care schedules and timely reminders: users get notifications when it’s time to water, fertilize or check their plants

AI-powered diagnosis: users can diagnose plant issues using camera and receive instant recommendations

Centralized knowledge base: all plant care tips and guides are stored in one place for easy access

To validate the design and ensure an intuitive user experience, we conducted a usability testing session with 12 participants representing the target audience (plant lovers of varying expertise).

90% task success rate: Participants were able to complete core tasks (adding a plant, setting care reminders, diagnosing problems) without assistance.

Average task time improved by 35% compared to initial prototypes after iterative design updates based on feedback.

Positive user feedback: 85% of participants found the automated care schedules and AI diagnosis highly useful and easy to use.

Identified minor pain points related to navigation flow, which were addressed in the final design iteration.

The thoughtful application of usability testing directly influenced design decisions, resulting in improved task efficiency and enhanced user satisfaction.
