Project Overview:
The client purchased an abandoned commercial space in Brooklyn, New York, with the vision of transforming it into a ski learning center for children of all ages. The project involves a complete renovation of both the exterior and interior, including lighting design, furniture, technical documentation, functional organization, and overseeing branding efforts by graphic designers.
My Roles and Responsibilities:
Exterior and Interior Renovation: Actively participated in the design and implementation of the renovation, ensuring all aspects of functionality and aesthetics were addressed.
Lighting and Furniture Design: Developed detailed plans for lighting and selected appropriate furniture, focusing on practicality and comfort for the target audience—children of all ages.
Technical Documentation and Drawings for Contractors: Prepared all technical drawings and documentation necessary for construction, including detailed instructions for contractors.
Functional Organization: Created functional layouts and space organization to facilitate efficient and safe skiing lessons.
Oversight of Graphic Designers: Coordinated the work of graphic designers regarding the branding of the center, including logo creation and other promotional materials.
Visualizations and Animations: Produced high-quality visualizations and animations of the project to give the client a clear view of the final space before work began.
Results:
The project is currently in the implementation phase, with ongoing work to bring the ski learning center vision to life. Initial feedback has been positive, and the project is progressing according to plan.
