The client purchased an abandoned commercial space in Brooklyn, New York, with the vision of transforming it into a ski learning center for children of all ages. The project involves a complete renovation of both the exterior and interior, including lighting design, furniture, technical documentation, functional organization, and overseeing branding efforts by graphic designers.
My Roles and Responsibilities:
Exterior and Interior Renovation: Actively participated in the design and implementation of the renovation, ensuring all aspects of functionality and aesthetics were addressed.
Lighting and Furniture Design: Developed detailed plans for lighting and selected appropriate furniture, focusing on practicality and comfort for the target audience—children of all ages.
Technical Documentation and Drawings for Contractors: Prepared all technical drawings and documentation necessary for construction, including detailed instructions for contractors.
Functional Organization: Created functional layouts and space organization to facilitate efficient and safe skiing lessons.
Oversight of Graphic Designers: Coordinated the work of graphic designers regarding the branding of the center, including logo creation and other promotional materials.
Visualizations and Animations: Produced high-quality visualizations and animations of the project to give the client a clear view of the final space before work began.
Results:
