The Scene
The Carriage Scene takes place immediately after a major climax at Notre-Dame.
Celeste leaves the church and her father behind, choosing to leave with David. Together, they ride by horse-drawn carriage from Paris toward David's village on the outskirts of the city.
STORY BOARD
The scene serves as a quiet emotional transition after the intensity of the church sequence: two characters leaving everything familiar behind and moving toward an uncertain future.

The Creative Process
I developed the sequence from concept to final edit, combining AI-assisted visual development with traditional filmmaking and post-production techniques.

I developed the narrative concept and scripted the scene, establishing the emotional purpose of the carriage journey and its place within the larger story.

02 ——— Storyboarding
I used ChatGPT to develop the storyboard and explore the sequence's cinematic language, including shot composition, camera angles, character blocking, and visual continuity.
Celeste is glad to had David beside her and making even the hardest moments lighter.
03 ——— Still Image Generation
Using ChatGPT, I generated the initial cinematic stills for the sequence. These established the period setting, characters, carriage, environments, costumes, and overall visual aesthetic.

04 ——— Image-to-Video Generation
The still imagery was brought to life using Google Gemini, transforming individual compositions into moving cinematic shots while maintaining the established visual direction.

05 ——— Editing & Audio
I assembled and edited the generated footage into a cohesive sequence, refining pacing, transitions, shot continuity, and emotional rhythm. I then completed the audio mixing to support the atmosphere and storytelling of the scene.
The Result
The final sequence transforms a pivotal story moment into a cinematic period piece using GenAI not simply to generate individual shots, but as part of an end-to-end filmmaking workflow.
